Advisor to the Minister, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company, Dr. Hassan Zamani planted a few seedlings in the green space of Tehran International permanent Fairground with the aim of spreading the tree planting culture symbolically.

According to the reporting by the Public Relations and International Affairs of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company, this ceremony was attended by the Deputy of Transportation of Tehran Municipality, Mr. Seyed Manaf Hashemi; CEO of Tehran Subway Operating Company (Metro), Mr. Farnoush Nobakht accompanied by Dr. Zamani and also other members of the board and senior managers of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company, so, the occasion of the tree planting week was symbolically done by planting a few seedlings in the green space of the Islamic Republic of IRAN International Permanent Fairground on Tehran by them.

Dr. Zamani, on the sideline of this ceremony by regarding the importance of green space and the need to protect the environment, said: "The tree is a symbol of life, friendship and divine greatness, and tree planting is a necessity of human life and it has a special place as a good tradition that should be followed throughout the year seriously.”

He added: "One of the unique features of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company is the existence of 22 hectares of large green space with valuable species, which has given special importance to this exhibition complex.”

Dr. Zamani stated: “Tehran International Permanent Fairground with its different species of trees and green space is considered as the lungs and breathing space of Tehran due to this fact that the capital city (Tehran) is faced with air pollution in different seasons of the year.”

At the end; the Managing Director of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company, while appreciating the hard-efforts by the staffs of green space maintenance sector, emphasized: “Preservation of natural areas and green space is a very important and vital issue and one of our goals and programs about the Green Space Protection and Development Company which have been taken valuable measures in this regard and will continue in the future.”

It is noteworthy that, I.R.IRAN International Permanent Fairground has 22 hectares of green space and the vegetation of most coniferous, broadleaf, fruit and rare ornamental shrubs that makes this place as a pleasant and eye-catching place for exhibition visitors.
