Increasing the exhibition interactions and implementation of cooperation agreement (MOU) in the field of exhibitions were emphasized with the presence of the Ambassador of Armenia to Iran, Mr. Artashes Toumanian and Advisor to the Minister, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company, Dr. Hassan Zamani in Isfahan Hall at the I.R.IRAN International Permanent Fairground.

According to the reporting by the Public Relations and International Affairs of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company, at the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Zamani recalled the long history of friendship, trade and economic relations between these two countries and said: " Armenian good people in Iran have lived in complete peace, comfort and security of life for many years and they have an independent representative in the Islamic Parliament of Iran which shows their special position as part of the good people of this country and the peak of this honor is the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the eight years of holy defense.”

He also emphasized on expanding and strengthening cooperation between the two countries and added: "During the year; about 650 exhibitions are held throughout the country and the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company; as the custodian of Iranian exhibition industry; is ready to facilitate the presence of Armenia in Iranian domestic exhibitions."

Dr. Zamani stated: "An important issue that should be considered in the cooperation between these two countries is the trade balance, which we should cause to make a positive growth on it and increase the trade balance from the current situation by using an effective planning and attention to the trade & economic capacities of these two countries."

Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company referred to the good position of Armenia in the Eurasian Union and said: "With the cooperation of these two countries, we will provide the presence of businessmen and traders to produce and export joint products in Eurasia, and Iran is ready for any cooperation in this regard too.”

In the continuation of this meeting, the Ambassador of Armenia, while appreciating for organizing this meeting and the efforts which have done to hold it, said: "Good cooperation has taken place between these two countries in recent years, and I declare my readiness for any cooperation in the field of holding exhibitions and trade development."

He also Referred to the facilities and experience of Iran on holding exhibitions and added: "The exhibition which Armenia held it at the Islamic Republic of Iran International Permanent Fairground in Tehran a few years ago was well received and it is necessary for planning to hold the specialized, solo and public exhibitions, so, the solo exhibition of Iran in Armenia is considered as a good start for this subject and should be continued.”

At the end, Mr. Artashes Tumanian emphasized on Armenia good relations with Eurasian countries and noted: "Armenia has been a member of the Eurasian Union for six years and we can definitely cause to make an economic prosperity by the cooperation with Iran and export joint products."

Among the issues which are discussed in this bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is the annual planning for holding exhibitions in the two countries and also benefiting the facilities and capacities of Iran and Armenia in terms of increasing the trade balance and presence in Eurasian markets by producing the joint products were agreed and emphasized.

It is noteworthy that, head of the Iran-Armenia desk at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the chairman of the Iran-Armenia Chamber of Commerce and also deputies, managers and the other members of the board of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company were attended on this meeting.
