The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the National Carpet Center of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company was signed to introduce the capacities of the Iranian handmade carpet industry at Expo 2020 Dubai.

At the beginning of this meeting, Director of Iran Expo Committee, Mr. Morteza Deilan pointed out that Expo is the best opportunity to show art and craft internationally, and also said: "Iranian handmade carpet is considered as one of the most important handcrafts which expresses the rich Iranian art, beliefs and culture so it always shines like a star and pearl in the expos and in the pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran especially then we will use the potential of the National Carpet Center of Iran in Dubai Expo 2020 on the best method.”

He added: "This MOU will be concluded between the National Carpet Center of Iran and the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company for the Dubai Expo 2020 pavilion regarding the implementation of the handmade carpet project with the “Empathy with a knot “as the slogan.”

In the continuation of this meeting, Advisor to the Minister of Industry, Mine & Trade, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company, Dr. Zamani emphases to need to benefit from the high capacity of the National Carpet Center of Iran in Expo Dubai and said: “Iranian handmade carpet is the result of the artists handicrafts of our country that it shines like a beacon in the Iranian industry and this art becomes brighter over time.”

He added: "The I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company is ready to provide the necessary space in the Iranian pavilion to display the achievements and capacities of the carpet industry of the National Carpet Center of Iran at Expo Dubai."

Dr. Zamani noted that: "The art of Iranian handmade carpet industry has a great importance and we can earn more than one billion dollars by developing this sector and I hope that we can improve the position of Iranian carpets in the world at Expo 2020 Dubai more than before."

Also at the end of this meeting, Ms. Rafe, Head of the National Carpet Center of Iran, said: "Iran presence at the Dubai Expo is a very great and blessed event that will promote trade and economy of Iran."

She added: "The effects of culture, civilization, art and industry have been hidden in Iranian handmade carpets and the National Carpet Center of Iran is proud to cooperate and participate in this great event and will expose the capabilities of this industry to the world."

At the end, Head of the National Carpet Center of Iran emphasized that we will have a more powerful and different presence in this global event by making the cooperation and empathy of private sector activists, unions and Industry, Mine & Trade organizations of each provinces.
