Dr. Zamani met the charge d"affaires of Iranian embassy in the United Arab Emirates

Advisor to the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company, Dr. Zamani, traveled to the UAE on Wednesday, 14 April, 2021 and met with the Chargé d"affaires of Iranian Embassy in the UAE, and members of the Board of the Council of Businessmen based in the UAE, Dr. Hosseini.

According to the reporting by the Public Relations and International Affairs of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company, at first; Chargé d"Affaires of our Embassy in the UAE, Dr. Hosseini; referred to the high volume of trade and economic transactions between Iran and the UAE, which is about 13 to 14 billion, and said: " appropriate negotiations have been held with the UAE officials with the aim of expanding trade and economic interactions for trying to solve the banking and accommodation problems of Iranian businessmen and traders consequently."

The Charge d"Affaires of the Embassy of Iran in the UAE, announced to full readiness for any cooperation, comprehensive support and pursuit for a glorious and purposeful presence in Expo Dubai which is the most important and greatest opportunity for the Islamic Republic of Iran that it must be the first priority of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran In the UAE on 2021.

Managing Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company, Dr. Zamani; while appreciated for holding this meeting; described the Dubai-UAE 2020 Expo as a unique opportunity for our country and asked for the full support of our embassy in the UAE while announcing the importance of attending this international event that will be held at Iran neighborhood.

He also stated that: "due to the request of the Chargé d"Affaires of our embassy in the United Arab Emirates regarding the lack of expert staff and business advisors in our consulates in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, I will follow up the matter seriously with the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade till economic and trade experts deploy in the consulates of the Dubai and Abu Dhabi to facilitate, accelerate and follow the economic relations between the two countries."

Dr. Zamani also mentioned to display the production and industrial capabilities and capacities of our country as well as the cultural, economic, social and artistic programs that will be exhibited in the pavilion of our country during the 6 months attending period of this international event.

The main requests which are asked for our embassy in the UAE in this meeting are listed below:

1- Following up and sending the necessary correspondence regarding the allocation of the necessary budget and credit for the construction of the pavilion of our country from the presidency and other government organizations.

2- Assistance and accompanying in holding the Islamic Republic of Iran National Day in the EXPO 2020 and inviting officials and diplomats of foreign countries.

3- Supporting and cooperating in holding an international conference about attracting foreign investors for the Iranian economy, as well as following up and emphasizing to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, especially the Organization for Investment and Economic Assistance to expedite the preparation of special investment packages for the 6 months Expo period time.

4- Request from the Council of Iranian Businessmen living in Dubai to benefit from the capacities and capabilities of Iranian businessmen who have lived in Dubai to participate in this international event.

5 - The issue of attracting foreign tourists and visitors to visit the free zones of our country, especially Kish and Qeshm Islands during the Expo and request cooperation and support to carry out legal processes by the relevant officials of the UAE.
