Signing an exhibition agreement between I.R.IRAN & Armenia

Tehran and Yerevan have reached an agreement to hold a dedicated exhibition for Armenia in Tehran.

According to the reporting by public relations and international affairs of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company:

The agreement was reached in a meeting between Hossein Esfahbodi, chairman of the board & managing director of Iran International Exhibitions Company (I.I.E.C) and Artashes Tumanyan, the Armenian Ambassador to Iran.

The presumptive exhibition will likely be held at Tehran International Permanent Fairground given the nature of the meeting.

Esfahbodi, who is also a deputy minister of industry, mines and trade, said the lifting of sanctions against Iran in January has opened new horizons for trade and economic development with the world. He added that many international delegations have visited Iran after the Persian Gulf country was cleared of most western sanctions just over four months ago.

Armenia’s ambassador also hoped for stronger ties with Iran in the exhibition industry.

Aria Majidi, director of domestic exhibitions at the IIEC, said the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding that will pave the way for a standalone exhibit in Iran to present Armenian culture, industry and products.
