Coordination and symposium for purposeful holding of the commemoration ceremony of the Global Exhibitions Day was held with the presence of Advisor to the Minister of Industry - Mines and Trade, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company, Dr. Hassan Zamani; other managers of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company, Head of associations and another groups who involved in the exhibition industry on Saturday, 29 May, 2021 in the Morvarid Hall (Pearl Hall) at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground.

According to the reporting by the Public Relations and International Affairs of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company, Dr. Zamani, referring to the importance of the Global Exhibition Day, stated: “In this ceremony that is held on the occasion of this day in Tehran International Permanent Fairground this year, we will presence and heard the speeches of government officials, members of parliament, governors, law enforcement and other senior officials.”

Dr. Zamani also said that the presence of the exhibition industry activists on this day is encouraging and the Global Exhibitions Day is a great opportunity to show the capabilities and capacities of the exhibition industry and the role of this industry in the development of economic, cultural and international relations and activities in the country."

Dr. Zamani, referring to the importance of the Global Exhibitions Day in advancing the goals of the exhibition industry, said: "Due to this importance, the permanent secretariat of the Global Exhibitions Day will be formed with the participation of the private sector and exhibitions in provincial centers."

He stressed the need for systematic and standardized exhibitions in the country and added: "Specialized exhibitions throughout the country, especially in the provinces, should be held only in licensed by exhibition centers & sites and also in coordination with I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company."

Managing Director of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company stressed the need to include the "National Exhibition Industry Day" in the official calendar of the country, considering the importance and basic role of this industry in social, economic and cultural fields and the need to introduce this role to the people and officials on the occasion of this day. .

Dr. Zamani also responded to the proposal to form a working group or commission to coordinate the various sectors of the exhibition industry, which was raised by both the exhibition directors and the directors of the private sector organizations which were presented at the meeting, and agreed to form this commission. He said: "I instruct my colleagues to form this commission because I believe that such a commission can hold regular meetings to better exchange views and decisions and executive coordination between activists and managers of various public and private sectors in the large exhibition industry." Basically, I believe in the participation of the private sector in decision-making, and so far we have had a good interaction with the organizations of the exhibition industry, as exemplified by their active and constructive participation in preparing programs and performing Global Exhibitions Day ceremony.

In continuing this meeting, a number of officials of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company and the directors of the organizers and exhibitors associations expressed their views on the status of the exhibition industry and announced plans for the Global Exhibitions Day, determining the topics and content of the statement of the exhibition industry activists on the occasion of the Global Exhibitions Day, providing the possibility of widely introducing the position and role of the exhibition industry in the development of economic, cultural, social and international relations of the country.

It is noteworthy that the celebration of the Global Exhibitions Day was held on Tuesday, June 1^st, with the joint management and the presence of managers and members of I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company and trade unions in this field and with the presence of some guests from officials and experts by sanitary facilities which are approved by the Corona Headquarter in the open area of the Tehran International Permanent Fairground.
