The Commissar General of the Iranian pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai said: The pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Expo 2020 has been successful due to the opinions of experts and the impressive reception of foreign visitors.

According to the reporting by the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company (IIEC PR), the Commissar General of the Iranian pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai, Dr. Hasan Zamani, said: "The Expo as the Olympics of the Culture of Nations" is the third most important event in the world after the Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup and it is a special opportunity to expand interactions and communication through the nations. Countries in this event show their social, cultural, scientific, technological, economic achievements and development prospects".

Referring to the special position of the Iranian pavilion in the Expo, he reminded: "The pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran is located in the movement zone and also the entrance of the Expo site in the neighborhood of France and Chile pavilions with on about ​​2014 square meters that caused to provide a good opportunity to attract visitors."

He added: "The special and different content of Iranian pavilion with other countries has been noticed by domestic and foreign visitors. According to the latest statistics, more than 700,000 people have visited the pavilion of our country, which shows Iran is success in providing appropriate content and its brilliant presence in the Expo 2020."

Referring to the design of the pavilion of our country at the Expo 2020, Commissar General of Iranian pavilion said: "The design of the pavilion is a combination of traditional and contemporary architecture and inspired by the stories of One Thousand and One Nights, which deals with the economy, social and cultural development, ancient civilization and traditions and Iranian customs."

Dr. Zamani considered that the architecture of the Iranian pavilion is special and different from other countries and noted: "The pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been introduced as one of the top eight pavilions of the Dubai Expo based on the evaluations."

Referring to the presence of tourism and handicrafts sectors in the Iranian pavilion  in Expo 2020, he said: "The presence of these sectors play an important role in attracting foreign tourists and encouraging them to travel to Iran."

On the other hand, presenting the capabilities and capacities of our country in various fields such as carpets, mines, saffron, etc. has been in order to attract foreign investors, which has caused to acceptable results and we witnessed several B2B meetings between businessmen and economic activists of our country with foreign traders and investors in the Expo 2020.

Dr. Zamani also reminded in another part of his speech: "For the first time in the Expo, we are witnessing several weeks about some important fields for our country, as like the week of architecture, mining, carpets, saffron, women, national day and other programs."

Referring to the importance of introducing the art of Iranian carpet industry to the world, Commissar General of Iranian pavilion in Expo 2020 said: "Considering the importance and position of Iranian handmade carpets in the non-oil exports of our country, this section has had a significant presence in this period of the Expo and faces positive feedbacks from foreign visitors."

He added: "One of the interesting parts for the Iranian pavilion visitors is participating in the carpet of empathy for peace. Visitors, under the supervision of a carpet master, weave an empathy knot for peace, and this carpet is completed with these knots and presented to the Expo Museum during 6 months."

At the end, Dr. Zamani noted to the cultural and artistic programs in the Iranian pavilion and specified: "In this period, Iran has held the most cultural and social programs among the countries which are present in the Expo 2020; these programs are performed every day in the Iranian pavilion and has caused to attract many foreign visitors."
